Manager- Accounting and Tax
This position requires extensive work experience specializing in tax. This position entails preparing and reviewing tax returns, coordinating tax work with department seniors, working closely with partners and experienced personnel on client engagement teams, and researching technical issues and communicating findings to obtain desired results.
- Plan and manage accounting & tax projects
- Direct staff in completing accounting & tax projects
- Review accounting & tax projects
- Supervise staff, senior & supervisors assigned to projects; monitor time & project turnover
- Provide assistance with regard to accounting, tax research & documentation
- Identify problems, propose and implement solutions to client & firm related matters
- Maintain & improve accounting & tax processing procedures as required
- Invoicing as requested
- Involved in staff training as requested
- Evaluate staff as directed by the partners
- Monitor compliance of firm quality control procedures
- Coordinate with partners regarding staff & firm matters
- Special projects as required
Supervisor skills & knowledge required. Knowledge of required financial disclosures in compilation and review engagements. Lead in the use of technology to continue improvements in productivity. Mentor other staff members in the area of accounting, tax matters & the use of technology productivity tools.
Senior Accountant/Tax
The ideal candidate will have five-plus years experience in accounting and bookkeeping. Will be responsible for monthly billings, reconciliation of the general ledger accounts, bank accounts, accounts payable and receivable, financial statements and cost analysis.
- Process interim and annual compilations (including full disclosure statements)
- Process and perform reviews of financial statements
- Assist with supervision of projects
- Review of accounting and tax projects as required
- Recognize client problem areas and assist with formulation and implementation of solutions to the problems
- Research more complex accounting and tax issues as required
- Lead in tax planning projects for individuals and businesses
- Special projects on request
Staff Accountant II skills and knowledge required. Knowledge of required financial disclosures in compilations and review engagements. Lead in the use of technology to continue improvements in productivity. Mentor other staff members in the area of accounting and tax and solicit participation on engagements.
Staff Accountant II
The ideal candidate will have 5-plus years experience in accounting and bookkeeping. The following responsibilities will include:
- Process interim and annual compilations (including full disclosure statements)
- Preparation of individual and business returns for sophisticated level clients
- Assist with Tax Planning projects for individuals and businesses
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports
- Recognize client problem areas and assist with formulation of solutions
- Research accounting and tax issues as required
- Consult with clients as needed including Quickbooks and Peachtree
- Special projects on request, which may include assistance on audit engagements
Staff Accountant I skills and knowledge required. Knowledge of requirements and steps to complete full disclosure compilations, review and engagements. Knowledge and use of PPC engagement tools, BNA tax research software and other productivity tools, i.e. Tax Tools, etc. required.
Staff Accountant I
The ideal candidate will have 2-plus years experience in accounting and bookkeeping. The following responsibilities will include:

Responsible for keypunch and bank reconciliation functions using CSA
- Process recurring monthly and quarterly compilations
- Assist with audit engagement administration as requested
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports
- Preparation of less sophisticated individual & business income tax returns

Client administrative accounting tasks (bill paying, payroll, etc.)

Perform tasks for staff as requested
- Special projects on request, which may include assistance on audit engagements
Basic accounting and tax knowledge required. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite of Productive tools, i.e. Word, Excel, required. Knowledge and experience with CSI Suite of Products, including Engagement Solutions, preferred and acquisition of such knowledge upon employment will be required.
